About
Grace Yang is an award-winning writer, poet, and editor whose work explores identity, translation, and the intersections of culture and place. Her writing has appeared or is forthcoming in South Florida Poetry Journal, Digging Press Journal, PETAL Magazine, Taxi Society Magazine, Evanescent Magazine, the 1455 Books Young Poets Anthology, and the 2026 San Francisco Writers Conference Anthology.
Her honors include National Silver Keys from the Scholastic Art & Writing Awards, finalist recognition from the Maureen Seaton Poetry Prize, the Gotham Writers Teen Contest, and the San Francisco Writers’ Conference Writing Contest, and multiple regional Gold Keys in creative writing and journalism. She was also awarded a student scholarship to attend the San Francisco Writers Conference and received the Greenman Leadership Grant from the Columbia Scholastic Press Association.
Grace is a Creative Writing Fellow at GrubStreet, founder and editor-in-chief of Jardin Zine, and editor-in-chief of The Lion’s Roar. She has been selected to participate in the Kenyon Review Young Writers Workshop, the Iowa Young Writers’ Studio, Columbia Scholastic Press Association’s News Reporting and Writing Workshop, and The Stanford Daily Journalism Workshop. She lives in Boston.
